A XML sitemap is a file where you can list the web pages of your website. It helps tell Google and other search engines to get all the pages of your website in a single file.

First, you need to install Yoast SEO plugin and need to enable XML sitemap option.
And then save changes.
I recommend to not to include tags in XML sitemap, because it creates duplicate content and broken page issues.
Few SEO experts think that including 10-20 tags in blog posts is helpful for SEO rankings in Google.
But the truth is:
This is a myth in SEO.
Tags have ZERO benefit in SEO.
Once your XML sitemap is ready, you need to log into your Google Search Console account and submit your XML sitemap.
Do your website needs a XML sitemap?
The answer is it depends!
According to Google, if your WebPages are properly linked (internal links) Google spiders will be able to find your pages.
If your website has thousands of pages and posts, then Google recommend creating and uploading or submitting XML sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.
It helps and makes their job easy.
